The official Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) Riyadh 2026 was held from 7–8 July 2026 at the Riyadh Hilton Hotel.
The two-day seminar brought together delegates from 45 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) across Asia to review operational preparations for the Games and receive comprehensive updates from the Riyadh 2026 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Organising Committee (RAIMAGOC).
The opening day featured presentations from the Organising Committee, followed by visits to the Athletes’ Village at Princess Nourah University and Boulevard Riyadh City, where all 18 sports will be staged across seven competition arenas during the Games from 13–21 December 2026.
On the second day, delegates received further technical briefings covering sport operations, accommodation, transport, accreditation, medical services, logistics, and other key areas. The programme concluded with one-on-one meetings between National Olympic Committees and Organising Committee department heads to address final operational matters.
During the closing session, Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari encouraged all participating National Olympic Committees to make full use of the consultation meetings to ensure their delegations were fully prepared for Riyadh 2026.
The Chefs de Mission Seminar marked another important milestone in the countdown to the Games, demonstrating the close cooperation between the Olympic Council of Asia, the Riyadh 2026 Organising Committee, and the National Olympic Committees in delivering an outstanding edition of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
On behalf of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) and the Fédération of Asian Muaythai Associations (FAMA), FAMA President Abdullah extended his sincere congratulations to His Royal Highness Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), for their outstanding leadership, vision, and commitment in the preparations for Riyadh 2026.
He reaffirmed that Muaythai is proud to once again be part of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, one of Asia’s premier multi-sport events. Riyadh 2026 will provide another exceptional platform to showcase Muaythai’s rich cultural heritage, technical excellence, and the core values of respect, honour, friendship, and unity to athletes and spectators from across the continent.
FAMA and IFMA look forward to working closely with the Olympic Council of Asia, the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and the Riyadh 2026 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Organising Committee to deliver a memorable celebration of Asian sport, further strengthen the unity of the Asian sporting family, and continue advancing the growth and excellence of Muaythai throughout Asia.
